  17. The vidgets are:
  18.     buttons, radio buttons, menus, labels, text fields, sliders, scrollbars,
  19.     rectangular regions, lines
  20.  
  21. Unfortunately, it is not easy to create new vidgets; this requires
  22. making changes throughout the vidget library.
  23.  
  24. The forthcoming fall release of the library will include Motif-like 3-D
  25. vidgets.  We have no plans for alternate looks and feels.
  26.  
  27. A Windows implementation of the Icon interpreter is in the works; no
  28. work on the compiler is planned.  For graphics programs, especially,
  29. it's usually hard to notice a difference in speed.
